Death of IsAnyoneUp

It seems somehow fitting to start this blog with a post about IsAnyoneUp, since just a few days ago I was informed, via SMS, that the horrid/amazing site shut down last week (note: I'm posting this a few weeks after I wrote it). For those of you who don't know, IAU billed itself as specializing in "revenge porn". That is, your partner sexted you, then you broke up, so now you sent their n00dz to IAU.

The draw for me, was that Hunter Moore (the sleaze-in-charge) originally focused on scene nudes - dudes from bands, and so-called 'scene whores'. What this scene is, is a little hard to pin down. I started reading IAU after I saw pics of Jonny Craig. Maybe it's embarrassing, but I think he's hot! Or, he would be really hot, if he was six inches taller, and not so totally messed up.

After the JC hook, who wouldn't want to stick around to see Devin Ingelido, the cutie from VersaEmerge, or Jerry Roush (ex-Of Mice and Men, featured many times, doing his best to make his assets look as long as possible), Jinxx, the bassist of Black Veil Brides (who had a breakup over the post, but then they got back together), or etc etc.

Given my examples, it's an honest question to ask, what is my sexuality? JC is cute but kind of a boy, Dylan from VE is very pretty, Jerry apparently needs to prove his manhood, Jinxx is kind of like KISS? Haha I didn't mention pepperoni girl (she had really big areolas), infamous NJ scene skank Ariday Mas, or the girl with the really hot ass. But I guess that's the point, it doesn't really matter and we all "fap" together? Whatever that gross word means. Though, a lot of the fapping was probably to the "gnargoyles".

Nudity and tattoos was a pretty awesome combo. Then Hunter started posting his gross sex stories. Some were entertaining and some were pure barf. But I stopped reading IAU after it got taken over by "self-submits". What I learned is that as many guys as you can imagine who forwarded Hunter sexts their gfs had sent them, there are 1,000,000 times more isolated post-highschool girls who wanted the world to see their tits, pussy, and butthole. (After all, #NBHNC! - that is, #No ButtHole, No Care. As in, Hunter (who many suspect is gay) can't get a boner from looking at a pic of girl unless he can see her anus.)

Hunter would constantly post "Submit your nudes - IAU tshirt" - and then turn around and make fun of all the girls who obliged. I have to say, it kills the feminist inside you. Girls really want attention! The lesson from IAU was, you deserve it! Whether it's good or bad! It didn't make any sense. We should all aspire to be rich sluts - like Paris Hilton - but if you've had sex, or posed for a nude, you're a nasty slut! You win/lose/etc. Ultimate confusion.

Also, of course I should mention the long-standing feud: Hunter hated the shitty band A Day To Remember, and kept posting the ugliest and most unflattering dick pics of the bassist Josh Woodward. In retaliation, they invited him to see the play at the Bamboozle festival in NJ, meanwhile alerting the security to arrest him if he entered. Haha NJ! What's the problem???

Now that there are two songs about IAU (videos below), and Hunter went on Anderson Cooper and got profiled in the Village Voice, I guess the shutdown was inevitable. Just like StickyDrama a year or two before. It's probably for the best that I missed that one completely!

It was a weird period in my life, reading IAU, learning about scene disputes in Las Vegas, hating Ariday (because who didn't?), seeing pics of 19-year-old girls with full chest pieces, and also Hunter making fun of a lot of band dudes for being gay. (There were numerous pics of band dudes self-pleasuring with dildoes so maybe he had a point? Though truth be told the pics of Alex from Vampires Everywhere were originally from a gay porn site.)

Anyway while I can't say I'm sad this time in my life is over, I'm somewhat surprised nobody archived IAU? You know what they say, once something hits the internet, it never goes away. . .
